Sweet Harper Joy is here...

YEAH, our baby girl arrived almost 3 weeks ago...and yes, I'm just now posting pics and an update!! Harper Joy Harris arrived on Oct. 29th at 8:06pm. She was 7lbs 4 oz and was 20" long...my biggest baby!! Raquelle and Easton were both 6lbs 15oz, so she was only 5 oz heavier! My womb must max out about there...at least I felt like it did! :) All went well...for delivering a baby! She came out super fast and was beautiful! She has been an amazing eater and is a super duper good sleeper! At her almost 2 week check up, she was already up to 7 lbs 14 oz and had grown 1.5 inches since she was born! Whew! She likes to eat!! :)

Things have been mighty busy with three!! Oh my! :) If there has been a spare moment, mama has been laying down or sleeeeeeping! I forgot how being up every 3 hours at night can knock ya senseless during the day!! Thanks to my mom, Ben's mom and Ben being home for 2 weeks to help me get on my feet!!!

Sorry for the picture overload...but it has been three weeks! - and we've taken a good amount of pics! So, here's a few to share...

Once fed and bathed, she settled right to sleep!
A very happy daddy! I think he was glad the "hard part" was over! :) LOL!At home! We left the hospital less than 24 hours after she was born! Mama was ready to be in her own bed!!!! :)I think she's going to have a widow's peak...see her hairline?! :) And, the big question now is what color eyes will she have!? Stay tuned...right now they're a deep blue. But, hopefully they'll change to a beautiful green and we'll have one brown eye, one blue eye and one green eye baby - wouldn't that be cool!? :)
Here she is showing some "sass"! OH no, do we have a princess or what?! :)

Photoshoot with brother
Which was VERY fast and came equiped with several bribes to get him to lay this close to her!Every time she touches Easton, he freaks out! I said "Hold her hand.." and this is the face I get! :) He thinks it's soooo funny when she touches him!

This girl is seriously alert!! I have not been able to get any sweet "sleeping baby" pictures because she is just wide awake unless she is in her bed...then she sleeps hard...but doesn't really transfer! SO, here she is...alert and wide awake! :)

The whole gang
See, here is Easton freaking out after she "touched" him again! :) SO funny!!!

The kids are adoring her!! Raquelle thinks she is SO cute and says it all the time. She LOVES that Harper looks just like her when she was a baby!! And, Easton loves to goo-goo-gaa-gaa over her! He loves to dance around her and always wants to give her kisses and constantly wonders where she is. It's pretty cute!

Thanks for looking!! - and thanks for all your prayers and support!!! We praise the Lord for His faithfulness in our life and are sooo thankful to have this beautiful, healthy little girl in our family!!

Tired boy and First day of school

You know you have a tired little boy on your hands when you find him in the middle of the hallway sleeping like this! :) He was in his room for quiet time playing, then it got real quiet and I went back to check on him and found him like this! I grabbed my camera because it just looked so sweet to me!!!! He slept like this for about an hour!! Even with Raquelle hanging out in her room right next door, and me out baking, he just laid there, sleeping!! So funny!!

And the latest, most greatest thing that has happened to our little family is my sweet princess has started kindergarten!!! WOW! I snapped this pic in our backyard the morning we left for school. Complete with her backpack! I just loved how she sat down, crossed her legs and threw her arm over the chair - such a professional! :) She looks like she's 8 years old here though...kinda freaks me out how big she's getting!! The school is literally across the street behind our neighbors house. It takes us 5 min. to walk there because we cut through their backyard. The house is owned by the church/school, so it's totally cool for us to do that! :) As my sweet nephew said when I took him that way one time, "Do the police know we're walking back here!?" :)
The school is so fun for her! The entire school (kindergarten through high school) is set up on a M, W, F (in class program) from 8:30-3pm. Then, Tu, Thurs is at home with parents doing assigned home school. Her kindergarten class schedule is set up with two snack times, two recess times and a lunch! :) So, it's a great transition for her...lots of fun and still some learning! Her teacher is amazingly wonderful, sweet and kind and Raquelle loves her. She has a few "kindred" spirits in the class that she has already bonded too, so she is set for the year I think! The transition was much easier than I thought it would be and Easton and I are thoroughly enjoying our time together!! It's so fun having him all to myself for a few more weeks!!

That's it for now...will post more as I start organizing pics. I realized I haven't printed pictures since 2007...when Easton was born! He has no baby book and we have no family albums!! So, my next project will be sorting, organizing and printing our amazing memories of these last few years!! Pray for me...that I won't go crazy! :) :)

My "Twins"

I have been a very very bad blogger! I'm actually going through 4 months of pics I've taken but haven't taken off my camera. SO, I'll have more to post. But, for now, here's one I just came across and am amazed by!!! These two wonderful and beautiful kids God has given me look SO much alike!!!! Except one has beautiful brown eyes, and one has beautiful blue eyes!! They have the same smile, noses, eye brows, sweet little chins, hair color, hair line, etc...it's amazing to me how similar they are! - and this pic really shows it off. It'll be so fun to meet the new princess and see if these genes stay strong and if she continues on the "Harris" look that my two kiddos carry. Maybe she'll have green green eyes...then I'll have one babe with each color! :) Less than 10 weeks left...and we'll find out! - and I think we've decided on a name. Don't hold us to it...you never know, but right now, we've decided to name her Harper Joy Harris!! Our prayer for this little one is for her to be a child of great joy and peace. So, that's why the middle name. And for now, we just feel like she is supposed to have the name Harper. Again...we'll see! :) - you never know what might happen in the delivery room! :)

Random fun

Yes, I've been a blog slacker!! Firstly because we found out a few months ago that we're preggers!! - and I just LOVE to sleep!! :) I can't get enough of it!! And, for the past 3.5 weeks, somebody in my house has been sick with a severly green snotty nose! :) But we are all through that now...mama is finally healthy!! Yeah! The new Harris baby is due around Halloween! :) So, I guess I'm dressing as a big ol' pumpkin this year!

So, what else is new you might ask??
My sweet girl lost her two bottom teeth within a week! Here she is with her new smile! The tooth fairy was very generous...I think we only got 25 cents when I was a kid, but she got a whole dollar! Wow, she must be a special girl! :)

And, we've been clowning around at home...keeping busy and looking forward to summer! Here are my googly-eyed "kids" being silly one night after dinner!

And, today I found the best baby sitter ever! An excavator! :) We have a small crew here digging up our back yard to put in a new patio and the kids have been GLUED to the window watching the little digger. It's been fun! I am SO excited to get things moving and ready for summer back there. Now all we need is a play structure! :)
We'll keep you posted with more pics as I get more sleep! :) Until then, may the Lord bless you all richly!!

Happy Birthday Raquelle!!!

My sweet sweet girl turned 5 yesterday! I can't believe I have a 5 year old!!!! WOW, time flies! At the family gathering yesterday we were all joking about how it felt like a few months ago were were celebrating her 4th birthday...we could all remember exactly what we did, what we ate, etc! It was so funny!!
I made Raquelle a princess dress cake! It was fun and turned out cute...she LOVED it! We had a fun day celebrating and singing her happy birthday a hundred times throughout the day! I am sooo blessed to be her mommy and just love her to pieces!!!

I love these pics of her and the cake...looks like she's thinking of a wish and then blowing out the candles!

And, opening presents! She got some fun stuff and had such a ball with her cousins!! :)

Thank you Jesus for our family!!! And, Happy Birthday Raquelle!!!

My kids have rhythm!

I gave my kids a cupcake treat after dinner last night and within 5 minutes, Easton was singing at the top of his lungs! So, daddy turned on some music and we said, "Start Dancing!" to help them burn off some of that sugar...and we were rolling!!! I was laughing so hard at their moves, so I grabbed the camera! - here you go!
Check out Raquelle towards the end...some serious moves! :)
Gotta love the diaper butt! :)

A few more highlights from Reedsport

Yes...this is my SON - Easton! :) LOL!! This picture will haunt him I'm sure when he is 18 years old! :) - good bribe material!
He found nana's fun wig and put it on...he was laughing so hard!!! - and so were we!!! I guess if we ever had a blondie, this is what she would look like!!
Lots of wrestling! That is Byron (Ben's bro) at the bottom of the pile!! The kids LOVED all the playtime they got!!

One morning around 11am, Easton asked to go upstairs to rest. Occassionally we'll let him listen to worship music during a rest time/time out so Ben fastened him in and put him in our bed. After 30min. of not hearing anything from him, I went upstairs and he was OUT! He slept like this for over an hour and a half - at 11am in the morning!! So funny!! Early nap I guess...it was SO sweet!!

Christmas Happenings

December has been a fun and crazy month! My favorite has been having daddy home to hang out, sleep in with, and play games with. I love love love having him around!!! Here are some other highlights:

Nana (Ben's mom) took all the girls to the Nutcracker in Eugene. It was such a fun and new experience! Raquelle had never done anything like that before! It was fun sitting with her and whispering in her ear what was happening and having her continue to ask why the girls were wearing panties! :) And why it was okay that you could see them when they danced! :) LOL! The ballet was amazing and it was a fun day despite Raquelle being right in the middle of a cold!

The cousins
A day before Christmas we headed to Reedsport to hook up with Ben's family for a very low key, yet very fun Christmas! We hung out and didn't do much at all...so relaxing! On the 28th we went over to Ben's aunt's house for some fun, games and the infamous family white elephant!! We actually came away with our OWN gifts! LOL! - so we took the receipt and took them back! LOL!! It was pretty funny!!! So, it was actually the best white elephant I've had! :)
While we were there, my amazing cousin Jamie took us all out to the road in front of our aunt's house and took some family pics! She is such a great photog (check out her website) and so good at capturing some fun and candid moments!! Love you Jamie...thanks for the memories! :)

Then we got home and my family came up for another Christmas celebration!! They just left New Year's Eve, so we've been in our Pj's for the past two days just loving our last few days at home with daddy!! Thank you Lord for our amazing family and such fun memories!!
