Easton is three weeks old!!

I LOVE black and white photography...which is why I love this picture! However, the rest of the pictures I took of Easton today just looked cool in color because you can see how deep blue his eyes are! I hope you enjoy seeing how alert and awake our little man is...and how he has so many faces! :)

Whenever we burp him on our shoulder,
this is how he sits...chin resting on his folded arms! - so cute!

Fun in the water

It was so warm and beautiful today!! Raquelle had a chance to get her new swim suit on and jump into her little pool to cool down! She looks sooo grown up in these pictures...it's weird!!! :) Before we know it, she'll be driving!!! - YIKES!

Good-bye Ilagans!!

Raquelle and I went to the park with the Ilagan girls and had a "ball"! :) Here are a few pics of Graca, Isabella and Kiera as we were playing. We are going to miss this precious family soo very much! We love you guys!!

We will miss your beautiful faces!!

CD Splurge with Reviews (work in progress)

A little Father's Day gift from Jessica has found me with a few Cd's from Sound and Spirit BMG music (thanks hunny, even though you didn't know about it :-)

-A bit of free advertising for BMG: http://www.bmgmusic.com

-If you find any music you are interested in and have interest in signing up let me know. I have a little promotion where I can get some free Cd's. I will kick one of my free ones to you.

Anyway...they have some great deals once in awhile and the one I took advantage of was $5.99 with no shipping and handling (which is usually 3.50 PER CD S&H)!

Translation = 10 Cd's for $60.

Enjoy,

Ben

Artist: Anberlin
Album: Cities

Review: Soaring vocals, some amazing guitar rifts, I don't know if this music has been phrased as "Relationship Rock," but some of it is definitely "Relient K-themed" in regards to the content. There are 3 or 4 songs that stand out in this one, but other than that, it doesn't really have enough variety to put it in the "really" good category. 3.5 / 5

Artist: Disciple
Album: Scars Remain

Review: If you have heard any of the last two, or three, or four Disciple albums, this one will sound familiar. There doesn't seem to be too much "new" to this latest release. One thing you can count on is the groups solid Christian lyrics. These guys spell it out pretty clearly. I especially enjoyed the continuation of Bible verses at the beginning of each of the songs. I am assuming the verses serve as a backdrop to each of the songs. I will have to investigate further in the future. I am starting to think that these guys actually shine the most when it comes to their ballads. There are several on this album that I enjoy, even more so than the other fast songs. Enjoy!
3.5 / 5

Artist: Elms
Album: The Chess Hotel

Review: I'll tell you right now that the first 6 tracks of this song have taken me by surprise. I was expecting The Elms of several years ago, with their "poppy" Beatles/Monkeys sound. Boy was I surprised! This album has received rave reviews on several different websites, and I think that is why I selected it. I obviously didn't listen before buying on this one. More opinions to follow, after I listen through it a couple more times. 2 / 5 ...so far

Artist: Manafest
Album: (2nd album)

Review: If you enjoy Thousand Foot Crutch, you should pick this one up! Excellent rap and rock combo. 4 .5 / 5

Artist: Fireflight
Album: (debut album)

Review: Excellent album with strong female vocals. 4 / 5

Artist: The Fray
Album: How to Save a Life

Review: My first Coldplay-type album. I have only heard one or two songs of Coldplay, so I don't know the similarities, but I enjoy it. 4 / 5

Artist: Showbread
Album: Age of the Reptile

Review: Don't let the outside cover (or the inside pictures) scare you. This band is UNIQUE! Newsboys meets Relient K meets Demon Hunter...ya, hard to explain. Some very solid spiritual songs too. 4 / 5

Artist: Relient K
Album: Four score and seven years ago

Review: Textbook Relient K, with some beautiful piano thrown in. I have always enjoyed Relient K and their maturity is easily found on their latest CD. Don't worry, you will hear still a lot about relationships and love gone bad, and good for that matter. 3.5 / 5

That's all for now. Jessica's serious family post's and pictures have bumped me down to obscurity. Hasta.

Introducing Easton Benjamen Harris

He's here! Weighing in at 6lbs 15 oz (the same as his big sister), Easton arrived after 25 min. of pushing on Saturday, June 2nd at 9:01am (his due date). He is SUCH a sweet baby...hardly fusses or cries at all! The first thing the nurse said as he came out was, "WOW! He looks like Ben!" So, we gave him his daddy's wonderful name as his middle name because it's true...he looks like his handsome daddy! Everything went so well, we just feel so blessed! Second time around was a much better experience in every way! We're still catching up on sleep and not having slept at all Friday night/Sat. morning, but other than that, we're doing great! Big sister Raquelle wants to hold him and kiss him all the time...she is such a great helper and is doing so good. We praise the Lord for his kindness, graciousness and faithfulness...He has answered all our prayers!

Proud big sister Raquelle

Tiny hands and feet

Stay tuned, more pics to come!! :)
